The Rear Driveshaft (Dogbone) Keeps Popping Out. How Can I Fix It?

If the YIKONG YK4084 RC Car rear driveshaft (dogbone) keeps popping out, a simple and effective solution is to place a small compression spring inside the rear drive cup before installing the dogbone. The spring applies light pressure to keep the dogbone engaged in the drive cup, greatly reducing the chance of it coming out during driving or hard landings.

Compared with using an O-ring spacer, the spring method provides more consistent pressure and performs much better, especially during jumps or aggressive off-road driving. If the driveshaft or drive cup is worn or damaged, it is also recommended to replace it with the original YIKONG YK4084 Rear Driveshaft (Part No. 14179) to restore a proper fit and reliable drivetrain performance.
